I believe great dentistry starts with listening. Every new patient spends time with me so I can understand what's important to them - their concerns, their goals and what they hope to achieve. My role isn't to tell you what to do; it's to explain your options, answer your questions and help you make the decision that's right for you.

Building long-term relationships is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Whether you're visiting for a routine check-up or a complete smile transformation, my goal is to provide honest advice, conservative treatment and care that feels personalised from the very first appointment.

One of the best parts of being a dentist is getting to know the people who walk through our doors. Every patient has a different story, different goals and different reasons for seeking treatment, and I genuinely enjoy helping people feel more confident in their smile.

Dentistry has also changed enormously throughout my career. Advances in cosmetic dentistry, dental materials and implant technology now allow us to achieve results that simply weren't possible when I first graduated. It's exciting to combine these innovations with experience to deliver natural, long-lasting outcomes.

I've been practising dentistry for more than 25 years and am proud to be a founding member of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Dental Implant Network Group, and a member of the New Zealand Dental Association.

My career has included facial reconstruction work at Waikato Hospital, several years working alongside experienced dentists in New Zealand, and six years practising in London before returning home to establish Accent Dentists in Ponsonby.

Those experiences continue to shape the way I approach every patient today.

Cosmetic and implant dentistry are two areas I'm particularly passionate about because they allow us to restore not only teeth, but also confidence.

Whether it's a single implant, porcelain veneers, crowns, gum recontouring or a full smile makeover, every treatment is individually planned to suit the person - not just their teeth.

My goal is always to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible while creating results that look completely natural.

Outside the practice I'm a proud father of three children and enjoy spending time with my family.

When I'm not at Accent you'll usually find me cooking, playing golf, working in the garden or out fishing and diving. Living in Auckland has given me a real appreciation for being close to the water, and it's where I enjoy relaxing most.

I feel incredibly fortunate to practise dentistry in my hometown and to be part of the Ponsonby community.
